What is a days calculator?

What is the difference between including and excluding the start date?
Inclusion of the start date counts the start date as Day 1. Example: January 1 to January 3 is 3 days. Exclusion of the start date counts from the day following the start date. Example: January 1 to January 3 is 2 days. In calculating legal periods, the principle of excluding the first day is generally applied.
